SNAP Cymru is a Charity that offers information and support to families of children and young people who have special educational needs. These may be additional learning needs or disability.
PARENT PARTNERSHIP SERVICE
SNAP Cymru’s Services are free to families at the point of delivery.
Our teams of trained staff and volunteers help:
families to make informed decisions about school and other educational placements and provision from health, education, social services and other agencies.
families to work in partnership and maintain good working relationships.
schools in continuing to develop increasingly good working practice with young people, parents and carers.
families to play an active and valued role in their child’s education and development – giving families a voice and choice.
Our teams of trained staff and volunteers offer:
confidential, accurate information, impartial advice and support.
a listening ear, an opportunity for families to talk things through.
help to gain access to a range of support services and expert advice.
practical help in dealing with letters, filling in forms and understanding professional reports.

Your local SNAP Cymru team provides services via:
a national telephone helpline
letters and written information
by appointment at the local Partnership Office
by arranging a home visit if appropriate
training for parents, carers and young people
SNAP Cymru also provides:

SNAP Cymru relies on its volunteer base to deliver a high quality service. There are a variety of opportunities available to SNAP Cymru volunteers.
