This interactive training equips professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to understand, identify, and respond to discrimination in schools and other education settings including further education establishments. Participants will explore the impact of discrimination on children and young people and learn practical strategies to ensure inclusive, fair, and supportive learning environments.

• What is Discrimination? – Understanding the protected characteristics under the Equality Act
• Discrimination Concerns Raised by Families – Identifying real-life examples and patterns
• The Role of Schools and Education Settings – Responsibilities in preventing and addressing discrimination
• Duty to Make Reasonable Adjustments – Ensuring accessibility and fairness for all learners
• Working in Partnership – Solution-focused planning with families, colleagues, and external agencies
