Menopause can have a significant impact on wellbeing, confidence, and performance at work—yet it remains widely misunderstood. This Menopause Awareness Training is designed to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and equip employees and managers with the knowledge and confidence to offer meaningful support in the workplace.
Course Aim
To increase awareness, understanding, and confidence among employees and managers in recognising menopause, its stages, and its impact at work, enabling colleagues to be appropriately supported and included.
What the Training Covers
Building Understanding of Menopause
- What menopause is and why it matters in the workplace
- Challenging myths, assumptions, and stigma
- Understanding that menopause affects people differently
The Three Stages of Menopause
Participants will gain clear, factual knowledge of:
- Perimenopause (Menopause Transition)
- Menopause
- Postmenopause
Symptoms and Workplace Impact
- Common physical, psychological, and cognitive symptoms
- How symptoms may affect concentration, confidence, attendance, and performance
Promoting Supportive Workplace Practices
- Practical adjustments and reasonable support options
- Creating an inclusive and respectful working environment
- Understanding organisational responsibilities and good practice
Confidence in Having Constructive Conversations
- How to talk about menopause sensitively and appropriately
- Supporting colleagues with empathy and professionalism
- The role of managers in building trust and psychological safety
