School Exclusions Training


This training provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to support children, young people, and their families who have been excluded from school or at risk of being excluded from school. The course is informed by the Welsh Government statutory guidance “Exclusion from schools and pupil referral units”, ensuring that participants understand current legal frameworks, responsibilities, and best practice in Wales.

The course also explores preventative strategies to help both parents and professionals reduce the likelihood of exclusion and promote inclusive approaches. Sessions are interactive, with opportunities for group activities and discussions.

This course is suitable for anyone supporting children and young people who have been excluded from school or are at risk of exclusion, including professionals working with families, education staff, and support services.
