From SEN to ALN – All Wales Events for parents and carers of children with Additional learning needs and/or disabilities aged 0-25

(Funded by Welsh Government)

SNAP Cymru is delighted to announce

‘From SEN to ALN’ – a series of FREE parent and carer forums for families of children with ALN/Disabilities aged 0-25 across Wales.

Our forums will be held face-to-face in venues across Wales between November 2022 and April 2023. All events will be bi-lingual using the support of Welsh Translation services.

This is a significant and unique opportunity to provide information and feedback about access to ALN education in Wales and to share information about your own personal experiences of ALN implementation and access to education for you and your child or young person with other parents and carers and the SNAP Cymru team in order that information and feedback directly from parents, carers, children and young people can be shared with the Welsh Government.

What will our event cover?

If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person (0-25) with Additional learning needs and/or a disability living in Wales, this event will provide you with everything you need to know about the implementation of the new ALN System in Wales in schools, LA’s and Colleges.

You may have already experienced moving to the new system and would like an opportunity to share your views and experiences of the new ALN system and provide feedback directly back to the Welsh Government.

Perhaps you would like to meet and talk about your experiences of education with other parents and carers of children with ALN and disabilities?

Or maybe you’d like to meet your local SNAP Cymru team, and arrange a 1:1 session to share your experiences of ALN and your child or young person.

When are the forums taking place?

Our very first LAUNCH forum is being held on SUNDAY 27th of November from 10am – 1pm at the Serennu Centre, Newport. Tickets are limited to first come first served, and we anticipate there will be a high demand, so don’t delay, book your ticket here: SNAP Cymru Events | Eventbrite
